It had been a long search that had covered a lot of
ground. We knew the collie would find the missing

It's been a particularly hard winter on the high fells, and
although the Blackie is hardy in the severest of winters,
the deep drifting snow means that the ewes aren't able
to scrape it away to get the grass underneath - fortunately,
the farmer is delivering much needed 'emergency rations'.
